Causal Models: How People Think about the World and Its Alternatives

The author, Steven Sloman does a great job of writing a book on the mathematics of causation without drowning the reader in math.

I was told about this book by a friend and colleague that was building models of physician behaviors and trying to identify which information and educational interventions were most successful.

The book reviews the role of causality, causal models, and intervention in cognitive functions: decision making, reasoning, judgment, categorization, inductive inference, language, and learning.

I had several useful takeaways from the book to help me in understanding patterns of user behavior.

It is available on Amazon and I have the kindle version.
