Never Split the Difference: Negotiating As If Your Life Depended On It

Chris Voss, a twenty-four-year veteran of the FBI, is one of the preeminent practitioners and professors of negotiating skills in the world. He is the founder and principal of The Black Swan Group, a consulting firm that provides training and advises Fortune 500 companies through complex negotiations.

His TED talk is great and that inspired me to get the book which then led me to take his master class. I have selectively used several of the techniques that Chris teaches. I am not a great negotiator but in my work in user research I have used this many times to help get to the root desires of the user which has helped many projects break through challenges.
